Final Day in Capri – Saturday, May 13, 2017
Today was our final day on the island of Capri. After breakfast, we all went our separate ways to do some last minute shopping, but we were scheduled to meet later that day to have a group dinner and the final wine tasting.
The final wine tasting took place at Il Saraceno Ristorante Pizzeria in the Anacapri center. This was considered a lab for those enrolled in the Wine and Fermentation biology course. The students tried four different wines, with the crowd favorite being the dessert wine, a Moscato paired with a piece of Tiramisu cake. After the wine tasting, since the group dinner wasn’t mandatory, about 12 of us stayed behind at Il Saraceno to have a final dinner on the island. We enjoy bread baskets, pastas and pizzas.
We had to be ready to leave the island very early, so we turned in fairly early for the night.
